Responsibilities
  • Oversee the optimization, growth, performance, safety, and financial results of a portfolio of clinics spanning multiple locations or specialties, including strategic planning and management of clinical, patient-care, and business operations.
  • Develop collaborative relationships between staff and faculty members and implement staffing models, streamlined workflows, reward and recognition programs, professional development opportunities, onboarding programs, and communication plans.
  • Ensure providers fulfill patient-care obligations and comply with federal and state regulations; support programmatic development, performance metrics, and call and escalation schedules.
  • Optimize access and referral management, reduce lag times, manage financial transparency and slot fill rates, and oversee template management, business-plan and budget modeling, outreach, and referring provider and patient communications.
  • Measure, report, and optimize patient flow to achieve quality measures and patient satisfaction, minimize wait times, streamline handoffs, and evaluate technology investments.
  • Develop training and continuing education activities, arrange staff skill-development activities, and maintain employee files, clinical competencies, licensure, and certification in coordination with Nursing Operations.
  • Oversee leases, equipment purchases, maintenance, vendor contracts, and systems for purchasing and maintaining office and medical-supply inventory.
  • Establish safeguards for patient confidentiality and billing compliance, manage risk and adverse-event prevention, and oversee requirements from federal, state, and local regulatory agencies.
  • Confirm internal control systems and coordinate with legal, internal audit, risk management, and other institutional experts.
  • Maintain professional affiliations, remain current with ambulatory-care trends, and act as a liaison to health-system leadership on cross-institutional clinic initiatives.
  • In partnership with the Medical Director, optimize clinical workflows and efficient electronic medical record use; review clinic metrics, scorecards, open encounters, and financial performance; manage quality assurance and patient safety programs; ensure regulatory and HIPAA compliance; resolve team conflict; allocate space, rooms, and equipment; lead patient service recovery; ensure provider scheduling templates meet ambulatory-effort expectations; and oversee controlled-substance management, compliance measures, audits, and reports.
